Envy makes the world go round.

There was a study that showed only about 30% of men have a sense of humour. The other 70% don't think that's funny. They don't think that's funny at all.

Women do laugh at men's jokes, but the same study showed they're lost in the statistical noise near 0% for making funny jokes. The 70% really, really don't like that. Them and feminists, of course.

Hence the Netflix walkout, et cetera.
Also explains dad 'jokes'. Men who know they're supposed to be 'funny' but don't understand what that means, exactly. Copycats.

I don't understand this sentence at all, could you please explain more (if you remember what you meant)?

If you want to find women for the purposes of making funny jokes, you have to look in the area lost in statistical noise near 0%.

That is, unicorns. Maybe there's a funny woman, but just as possibly there isn't one right now. Rare enough the population might really hit 0.

That is, if you measure women's ability to make jokes that are funny the way jokes are supposed to be, you get a result that can't be safely distinguished from zero. That is, if it's not zero it might all be false positives.

I'm compressing a measurement and an acknowledgement of uncertainty while linking it to the study in question.

In part I wrote all this out to see why I cheerfully risk being impenetrable or misunderstood rather than waste all the space and time to write it out. It's not even important if you ultimately don't get it.

Thanks for clarifying. I asked because I missed the point of this post because of this detail which confused me, but I see it now.

The post itself isn't important either.
