Women's suffrage didn't in fact change voting patterns all that much. This suggests that by 1920, American men were already highly feminized. 

Peasants are always somewhat more feminine (e.g. cowardly) than one would prefer, and when the remnant lords pressure them to be yet more so, it's a matter of pushing water downhill.

Disagree, suffrage moved the centre, left v right patterns may indeed have been left unchanged.
