What if these women are ashamed of being so weak, so they pretend to be strong to hide from their own shame? They think their men deserve women who don't hold them back so much, but Christianity did them dirty and told them there was no way for women to invigorate their wills, so they have no choice but to turn to delusion.

I would say that's a very accurate take.
Their shame - and self awareness - that they're not good enough for the best of men.
No different to Incels getting all salty about very attractive women showing their bodies.

Not these days, but women aren't willing to do the duty of the support role anymore.
Statistically, homemaker women have the wealthiest husbands. (at least, in the past- these days it's different to a degree).
This isn't as some may suggest due to men being considered more trustworthy if they have a wife / something something muh patriarchy.
It's due to men having the support of a person to do things that aren't his job. Ie, look after the house/ cooking/ basic tasks.
I mean the real issue is the argument that it's unpaid labour, which I disagree with, because husband and wife are team.
Frankly I would have zero problem being a homemaker for a high powered female attorney, however, they seem to be only interested in their bosses.

The point of a wife is in what one might call non-liquid goods. Stuff you can't easily buy or sell. E.g. you can buy a surrogate womb but you shouldn't for exactly the reasons you think you shouldn't.
This makes women notice they're a (financial) burden, which sometimes makes them feel like a burden per se.
I've thought about buying a surrogate womb. Not getting married to the state, while getting access to better genetics through IVF. Seems like a good idea all around; I must be missing something.

It depends what category of wealthy you mean. On average, though, married men earn more over their lifetime than men who remain unmarried.
If you're talking "top 5%" wealth, well, those men are hyper productive and, yes, you're correct - those men may as well hire a maid. But very, very few people have the capacity to create that degree of wealth and so it's kind of a moot point.

A good wife is a boon to a family. "womens work" is still valuable work.
If a man has a hot meal, clean clothes, a pleasant environment to come home to - the motivation of knowing that his children are his - he will work harder and therefore earn more. A "Maid" is much more expensive relatively speaking.
It is simply a function of our time - in which a mans labour is paid in cash - which makes women feel devalued. "I do work and I don't get paid".
This is by design, obviously.
Women are much better worker drones - less aggressive, less demanding of pay increases, more agreeable, on average more conscientious.
So, as I've said before, feminism is really for the benefit of corporate interests - double supply of labour, therefore dropping the price, and enter a preferable personality type for low to mid tier drudge work into the labour market.
Woman becomes the wife of the corporation. See how they are willing to dress nice for the office, and play nice in the office, just like they would have in the home?
Of course, the hilarious irony is that, despite women actually getting paid cash, they now can't afford to have a proper family timewise or cash wise.
On average, men who were going to earn more over their lifetime tend to get married.
Because women are quite good at evaluating genetic quality of men. Evolution not being dumb. Much the same way makeup can't really stop a man from accurately evaluating the genetic quality of a woman.
