The movie ultimately subverts this message though when Vader turns to the light side precisely by killing the emperor.
Similarly that dumb saying "only the Sith deal in absolutes" is subverted in the prequels by the fact that the Sith, Palpatine, tells Anakin the Jedi are too absolutist in only studying one side of the force.
The question is whether Jew Lucas intended to subvert his own point or God overruled him.

Lucas == Jedi and you can never trust a Jedi. Nearly everything he says about Sith is twisted...and evil.
Occasionally his Jedi tricks aren't up to the self-appointed task of obscuring Reality. Glory >> scurrying Jedi rats.
