Redpill Gotcha

Of course, don't take red pills. Morpheus wants you asleep. In Soviet America, Matrix is fooled by you! However, you know what I mean...

https://graymirror.substack.com/p/heroin-liberals-and-cocaine-conservatives "You are not crossing the Rubicon. You are just fishing in the Rubicon. Is there a real red pill? That actually works? Also: how high would that get you?"

So. If you work out at the gym, you move to the right.

What you if you train not your body, but your mind? Can you even imagine how far right you move when you train the thing that's directly involved in ideas, thus your ideology?

You may note, it's not a...pill...exactly. There isn't some keystone idea that changes everything.

You don't read a book to achieve enlightenment. Or endarkenment, if you prefer that metaphor. You achieve enlightenment so that you might read the book that's actually there. Enclearenment sounds awkward, I suppose. Enlogoment? Enscopenment? Engraspenment? This is the problem with the languages of liars...

You don't learn to obtain wisdom. You obtain the virtue, wisdom, that you might learn. (Normally one would say 'insight' there, but it illegitimately appears to break the symmetry.) You can't become strong by reading about muscles in a book, and likewise you can't become mentally strong by reading about someone else lifting heavy ideas.

If there were only one lie or delusion dragging you down, so that it could be a quick fix, it would also be an insignificant fix. If you were wrong about only one thing, it wouldn't matter enough to be worth finding which thing you were wrong about, let alone going to the effort of changing your mind.

The problem with Despotic Man is that he is ruled by the bad and the desire for the bad. Social normality is running up to vice, giving it a big 'ol bear hug, and never letting go. To reverse this means painstaking effort, taking not one pill, but millions of pills, each targeting one of the normalized vices.

But, alas, Revenge is Sour. The condition of epistemic training being possible is that it should already be in practice. Only freaks like me who invent it on their own - thus, are already doing it - have the opportunity.  Hurlock. A dude calling himself philosofog. Hoppe. Perhaps one or two of the Jedi who successfully pretends to be retarded.

To take a "red" pill, a pill of sense and understanding, you first have to be able to concoct and synthesize the substance yourself.
