Spading the State Defintion

 The usual definition is the 'monopoly on force' which is intentionally designed to sound sufficiently benign.

 If you call a spade a spade, the State is the locus of legitimized treachery. An attempted monopoly on betrayal.

 Haha, oops.
 No wonder this thing doesn't work.

 That's why you get Conquest's Third Law. No good can come from dishonour, never mind openly-planned perfidy. Anything it touches is desecrated. 

 

 This is perhaps why the world became atheist, impious and theophobic, at or around the Bronze Age Collapse. The temples angled to get tax money and, as a consequence, desecrated themselves and their adherents.
