"Nation of Immigrants" is Now True

America is territory owned by folk who want brown folk et al. This means the brown folk are the natural inhabitants, and MAGAns are the foreign intrusions.

So yes, deprecated-America is a nation of immigrants. "Naturalized" means turned into wokist/liberal/transgressive.

Taking America back means conquest, but, unfortunately, it seems the immigrants are indeed naturalized. They believe this can be accomplished by voting, or at least by writing books for Amazon and tweeting about them.

The Amish show you don't even need to seize territory nationally. The black government is so weak it will simply cede territory to you if you don't trigger one of its vaccine-induced allergies.

Redpill Gotcha

Of course, don't take red pills. Morpheus wants you asleep. In Soviet America, Matrix is fooled by you! However, you know what I mean...

https://graymirror.substack.com/p/heroin-liberals-and-cocaine-conservatives "You are not crossing the Rubicon. You are just fishing in the Rubicon. Is there a real red pill? That actually works? Also: how high would that get you?"

So. If you work out at the gym, you move to the right.

What you if you train not your body, but your mind? Can you even imagine how far right you move when you train the thing that's directly involved in ideas, thus your ideology?
 https://alrenous.blogspot.com/2019/06/how-to-epistemic-competence.html

You may note, it's not a...pill...exactly. There isn't some keystone idea that changes everything.

You don't read a book to achieve enlightenment. Or endarkenment, if you prefer that metaphor. You achieve enlightenment so that you might read the book that's actually there. Enclearenment sounds awkward, I suppose. Enlogoment? Enscopenment? Engraspenment? This is the problem with the languages of liars...

You don't learn to obtain wisdom. You obtain the virtue, wisdom, that you might learn. (Normally one would say 'insight' there, but it illegitimately appears to break the symmetry.) You can't become strong by reading about muscles in a book, and likewise you can't become mentally strong by reading about someone else lifting heavy ideas.

If there were only one lie or delusion dragging you down, so that it could be a quick fix, it would also be an insignificant fix. If you were wrong about only one thing, it wouldn't matter enough to be worth finding which thing you were wrong about, let alone going to the effort of changing your mind.

The problem with Despotic Man is that he is ruled by the bad and the desire for the bad. Social normality is running up to vice, giving it a big 'ol bear hug, and never letting go. To reverse this means painstaking effort, taking not one pill, but millions of pills, each targeting one of the normalized vices.

But, alas, Revenge is Sour. The condition of epistemic training being possible is that it should already be in practice. Only freaks like me who invent it on their own - thus, are already doing it - have the opportunity.  Hurlock. A dude calling himself philosofog. Hoppe. Perhaps one or two of the Jedi who successfully pretends to be retarded.

To take a "red" pill, a pill of sense and understanding, you first have to be able to concoct and synthesize the substance yourself.

Warcraft Melee vs. Lower Levels

For my sins, I've done a bunch of classic world of warcraft research. Ran out of useful things to practice research on. Result: there's a poorly-known fact I'd like to spread. Basically it's the following, although they have one error. https://github.com/magey/classic-warrior/wiki/Attack-table

Assuming attack skill is maxed, each level delta changes mob parry and crit taken by 1%, while dodge and miss change by 0.5%. That means, ignoring block because it sucks, level 30 fighter hitting a level 29 mob has a total of 3% extra base damage over hitting a level 30. 28, 6%. 27, 9%. Etc. (Giraffes &c can parry for some reason. Unlike players, mobs can't not have parry, and they usually have block tho nobody cares.) Further the 30 player takes 0.8% less damage from the 29 mob. Including the base chances of 5%, it's 93%/89.2% => 4.3% more effectiveness against mobs one level lower. The player can win a fight with something that has 4.3% more HP, and of course lower level mobs have less HP. 8.6% against -2s. Huge. Likewise, going up you lose ~4.5% per level.

By contrast, magic has no parry (or dodge) chance, so it's only miss and crit. 2% per level.

Both melee and magic suffer horrible discontinuities at mob level +3. Magic starts getting +10% to miss each level on top of the +1%, and the mob gets an extra +6% parry and 1.5% to be missed. Then there's crushing (half-bonus crits) and glancing. Players don't see any of these gains against mobs -3. Incidentally, mobs at +3 also resist +hit to the tune of 1%, meaning you have an 8% base chance to miss, but need +9 hit to eliminate that chance. Finally, non-inherent defence skill does nothing against crush chances. Talents and gear are ignored.

A little more detail: at equal level, the attack table is 5% chance to crit, 80% chance to hit normally, 5% parry, 5% dodge, 5% miss. (Again, ignoring block because it's block.) 80% + 2x5% crit = 90% base DPS.

 The attack table of a +3 mob against you is 5.6% crit, 15% crush, 4.4% dodge, 4.4% parry, 4.4% miss. You're looking at 2% crit, 40% glance@65% damage, 14% parry, 6.5% dodge, 8% miss.
+3 = 99.9% base DPS.
You = 59.5% base DPS.
Effective damage bonus +3: 68%, 23% per level. That is, they have higher stats because they're a higher level, and those stats are performing 68% more effectively than they would otherwise be.
Alt, effective damage penalty, you: -40%. Like fighting an even-level mob that always and instantly debuffs your damage by 40%, and has extra HP.

Basically, only fight orange mobs as melee if you absolutely have to.
Notice the progression? +1: 5%, +2: 10%, +3: 70%. This is why melee gets wrecked by orange mobs and casters only have to worry about running out of MP, especially if they use being a priest or CC to ignore incoming damage.

Negligible, but I'll mention anyway that +2 mobs have a 5% chance to crush.
On the plus side, killing a +2 mob give 10 more base XP plus a 10% bonus.

On level -5 mobs, they can no longer parry you, and you're working with 10% base crit.

By level -10, you cannot miss and they cannot dodge, although you need to be level 50 before -10 mobs will not be grey.

--

Better known but never said in one spot: in general, by intentional design, two-handed weapons do 20% more damage than one-handed weapons. 90% * 1.2 => 108% base 1h DPS. The base dual-wielding attack table is
5% chance to crit, 61% chance to hit normally, 5% parry, 5% dodge, 24% miss. The off-hand weapon does 50% damage, meaning base damage is 150%. 150 * 61 + 2x5 = 106.5% base DPS.

Dual wielding is supposed to be identical to two-handing. That is, 1.2 * 0.95 = 1.5 * 0.76, but the effects of dodge and parry are not independent of miss due to using an attack table rather than sequential rolls. They should have made dual miss +18 instead of +19. 108/150 = 0.72, 33% total avoidance at 5% crit. However, attack power benefits dual wielding at +50% the rate, which means 1hx2 generally has slightly higher DPS rather than 1.4% lower. The only classic class that can both dual and 2h is the warrior. In other words, sinister strike and eviscerate are balanced around dual-wield damage, whatever it ends up as, while flame shock and lightning shield are balanced around two-hand damage, and finally warriors have battle shout, which was probably tuned to make 2h and 1hx2 work the same.

Item level 24, wingblade: 15.68 dps. Crescent staff: 20.34. Hence, attempted ilevel 24 one-hand DPS is 23.3, meaning intended breakeven attack power is 107. If I'm reading this right, warriors get 3 str per level, meaning 25s already have nearly 200 AP while naked, plus BS at 55. Dual: 36.1 DPS, 2h: 34.7 DPS, ~4% lower.

Basically players don't like dualling because the miss streaks feel bad, while 2h lets them play big numbers game. The dual crit streaks and endless 2h swing timers get broken window fallacied - those dogs aren't barking. Therefore they say 2h is 'better' to justify what they wanted to do anyway.

Distinguish Good Pain and Bad Pain

It's tagged correctly. Simply remember to consult the tags.

Working out 'hurts' yes, but it's good pain. If you work out too much or too hard, it transitions to bad pain, because you've injured yourself. Notice the different tag on the sensation, then look for that tag on all forms of stress.

E.g. I like painful ideas. It's all eustress. It's only distress if I'm still clinging to some delusion. It's reliable - I can follow the distress like a scent trail and it will lead to the decomposing idea.

However, if the vegetables taste bad, don't eat them. Doing homework sucks because it's bad for you. Distress is bad and avoiding it is always good.

If some distress causes you to avoid future distress, it will stop being distressing. If you really hate vacuuming, but hate having a dusty room even more, then vacuuming will stop being distressing once you've observed the reward. Likewise, if the reward is not worth the stress, it will not only remain stressful, but get more stressful.

Many forms of workout are designed to be as distressing as possible. Evil and delusion. I personally enjoy running - the harder, the better. I hate crunches. A study will eventually come out showing you that crunches are bad for you. They're called 'crunch' because they're largely good for breaking things into pieces. However, the honest don't need the study. You can simply look at the stress response.

If you can get acceptably healthy with an easy workout, then that's good, not bad.

On the flip side, there's folk who think you can avoid all stress, even eustress. These folk are weak and will remain weak. They like to deny that the heights of accomplishment exist or are even possible. If I ever see a counterexample, perhaps I'll remember to post about him.

It's especially important to make the distinction due to individual variation. Maybe, for you, crunches are good. Again, you can't rely on the studies, because they address aggregates, not individuals, and you are not an aggregate.

(This is because doctors can get away with being incompetent. Indeed residency actively drives off competent doctors. They don't have to put up with it, and don't. A real professional knows all the details, including outliers and their signs and portents.)

The WhiteBlack Pill: Demand for Lies

The law of supply and demand is irrevocable. What is supplied is what is demanded. What is not demanded is not supplied. If society demands lies, it gets lies.

White pill: if you demand Truth, you get Truth. If you pray for wisdom, you will receive wisdom. (It will be quite the ride.)

Black pill: rationality is the vassal of values. You can't argue someone into wanting the truth. Argument is subordinate to desires. What are you going to do, use lies and trick them into disliking being scammed? Black pill: you can't make society stop wanting lies. Doomed.
Or, not doomed. White pill: destruction, pain, failure, and death is exactly what they want. These features are what they like about lies. When they complain, the implication that they want it to change is a lie. (Satanists lie, it's what they're all about. Telling a non-misleading truth is considered heresy.) Everything is working as intended.

You see the black part of the blackwhite pill as black because you're delusional. Not your society, not your business. You don't have the right to determine their values or how their society is structured. You don't have the obligation to selflessly "fix" it by preventing them from achieving the infernal Hell they yearn for. White pill: security is affordable. You do not need the voters to want or think anything. If their beliefs and values are harmful to you, secure yourself against them and stop thinking about it.

If you demand security, security will be supplied. If you pray for peace and safety, you will receive peace and safety.

Superego vs. NPC

The key feature of the NPC is a very limited ego. They have exactly one value, the deviant desire to dominate. They want to betray their neighbours, forcing the neighbours to serve the NPC's id instead of their own id.

From the outside, the NPC ends up looking like pure superego. They have to hide the one egoic desire they have because it's an act of war, and thus everything they do looks like slavish obedience.

As with all deviant desires, it is defectively counterproductive. The desire to conquer is the slave's desire. ("Revenge is an act which you want to commit when you are powerless and because you are powerless") The obsession with domination makes them easy to manipulate. It would seem easier to not fight or even oppose the existing order, but to seize and exploit it. The result is that the NPC is seized and exploited. The guy on top does the obvious thing, tuning the superego to serve his advancement and hold back everyone else. Whatever the social system does to help you against your rivals, it takes twice as much as payment for your superiors. Envy is Satan's virtue.

There is the occasional exception due to [everyone else's] bad luck. The system is noisy, like every system, and sometimes doesn't locally look like itself. In these cases someone escapes the self-destruction mechanic. Typically this state is temporary. When the noise quiets they will lose everything they think they've gained. The system survives because NPCs really are all identical, so the ruler of the system really is interchangeable with most members of the system.

If the old ruler wanted solely domination, and the new ruler wants solely domination, the new ruler is going to find they want to do exactly what the old ruler was doing. The new will simply carry on the production and R&D of the old.

From the outside, the NPC looks like pure superego, but you can tell they're not by examining the id. At first it looks like the point of the modern superego is to violently suppress the id. "Eat your vegetables." "Do your homework." "Be a wagie." "Submit to your wife/husband." However, if you look deeper, you realize the NPC is enforcing these oppressions. The superego system is allowing them limited dominance. Why don't they have to suppress their desire to dominate? Why does the system permit and even subsidize bullying? It's the market. Supply and demand. Id defines demand. The superego system is formed from the aggregate of NPC ids. This is especially noticeable in extreme cases, such as hunger. If the id is truly being left unserved, even the NPC will attack the system. Albeit in a very limited, superficial way.

A narcissist typically looks exactly like an NPC, but their ego is dominated by the desire to hide who they really are. They get interested in dominance only when it helps them hide; it's a means, not an end. Meanwhile their id is dominated by self-hatred. They eat only so they may continue to suffer. Given the choice between health and sickness, they will only choose health if it permits the affordance of even more sickness. E.g. they won't let you break their leg because they need the leg to go to the job they hate and see the co-workers they despise. By contrast, a regular NPC will let you make them healthier if it is considered socially acceptable to do so.

In a Fascist country like America, social norms pressure NPCs to act like narcissists, meaning the difference is smaller than usual. Consequently telling them apart is rather meaningless.
E.g. the rulers are so weak that they consistently make health socially unacceptable, as they cannot possibly corral healthy competitors. NPC and narcissist behaviour converge; the Fascist NPC will only let you make them healthier if breaking that rule lets them newly conform to two others.

My Ideal Society is None of My Business

Security is always affordable. You can secure yourself against lies using known technology. Normally it's known as science. Don't include peer review - that's clearly not science. I call it Logic. That which leads to true prediction is logical. That which doesn't is illogical; it's a back-definition. Regardless of any issues you may have with my definition, Logic is already known. The field is already mature, it already works.

Although Logic is known, there is no demand. The modern world has zero truth supply because there is zero truth demand. Instead, there is high demand for lies and anti-truth security. My ideal society instead has high truth demand and demand for anti-lie technology.

There will be some Truth about how to best run this society. I don't decide what the Truth is - I merely attempt to speak on its behalf. If some society has high Truth demand, they will discover these truths whether I tell them or not. As a result, how they run their society is none of my business. Caveat: they may find that hiring me is the cheapest way to discover the Truth, in which case it is my business, but only indirectly. I would just do my job, merely cooperate with cooperators, which coincidentally would be Truth-related.

That said the top-level organization of a Veritas society is known.

Quis custodiet: there is a Pope, who decides who is and isn't lying. If 1 = 0, you can prove anything. False evidence must be persecuted. The society employs security against liars, preventing them from speaking or publishing.

Rule of Law is impossible. The exact problem at hand is that the Law only enforces itself on long timescales. Further: the punishment is typically catastrophic. Maximally ungentle. As if the Law intentionally lets you run up a debt so it can punish you as savagely as possible. The Law favours tremendous suffering, followed by death. Recall that punishment only reduces vicious behaviour if it comes immediately and thus forms a mental association. If you want short-term enforcement, to avoid being punished by the Law, a Man must pick a Law. It's important, so I repeat: you want rules enforced by Man, not the Law.

It's important, so I repeat again: someone has to decide who is lying. There is no technique or mechanism that can detect liars, because a liar will introduce a technique or mechanism that overlooks their lies. To get the Truth out of a social institution, it has to already know the Truth. (See also: Revenge is Sour.) Personnel is policy. True people, true policy. Hence, you don't need any special techniques or mechanism. Demand Truth. Respect truthtellers.

If your Man picks True Law, you get a good cult. If your man picks False Law, you get a devil cult. Thus we need a mechanism for selecting against bad Popes.

 The mechanism is Exit.
The inherent nature of parasitism is that it's always profitable to leave a parasitic group. If it doesn't take more than it gives you, it's not parasitic. Consequently, the rule has to be this: the group is legitimate to the extent you can easily leave. Ideally you would have a light switch next to your thermostat; you would be able to leave the group accidentally if you trip in the wrong spot. Pope on. Pope off. Cancel your taxes for Thursday, then flick it back on for Friday.

Cooperation is not in fact hard. This problem is trivial to anyone who employs anti-lie security. Don't allow your "ally" to trap you in an Iron Curtain. It's genuinely that simple. Note that if you agree to the Curtain in exchange for various large payouts, it's a contract, not a trap. (See also: Logical definition and identities.)

Once more, a different angle: your institution will become corrupt. The liars plain want it more - you can survive being farmed like cattle, but the farmer-mosquito will die if not allowed to suck blood. Liars, banned from lying, fail and die. Once the Pope becomes a liar, you're fucked. You cannot replace the Pope. "The Pope is a liar." Pope: "No I'm not, heretic." You cannot take their cult away from them; they've seized the means of security. No repair or redemption is possible. The only solution is to leave that cult.

It's important, so I repeat: a group is legitimate if and exactly to the extent that you can leave.

It all comes back to demand for Truth.

If you demand Truth, you will get a good Pope. The Pope, responding to your demand, will, whether I help or not, implement many things to ensure the Pope remains a Truthful Pope, i.e. himself. He will delay the descent into corruption for as long as possible, precisely because you are already safe. If he keeps it real and good, you stay. If he fails, you leave and join a real and good cult. With Exit, corruption and treachery is self-limiting. With demand for Truth, you are always in a good cult. White government.

P.S. Kant was right. Lying inherently subverts communication. Lies are not speech, lies are violation. There is no such thing as a white lie. Even if the particular lie can't cause harm, it normalizes lying. It normalizes treachery.

Superego Warning

The superego is supposed to be an assist for helping you get along with the local rules. The rules look arbitrary to your genes, since environments change much more rapidly than human generations can change with them. Rather than pay the exorbitant cognitive costs necessary to re-derive the rules from first principles, you copy what everyone else is doing. They haven't already died - they can't be all that lethal.

Since the rules look arbitrary, there is no sanity check. There is nothing stopping a parasite who wants to install parasitic rules. In the present, this has in fact happened. Your superego has been hijacked and it is your enemy. If you want to be healthy and powerful, it has to be resisted - if you're very very lucky, you won't  have to resist it with perfect constancy.

The sanity check is supposed to be death. In a society where the largest group is 150 folk, you can't sustain a parasite for very long. If you catch wrong ideas, the band is wiped out. Evolution decided that although wrong ideas are very common, enough bands would get lucky that there's no need to develop bad idea resistance. Decided to offload that function. It's difficult, after all - there would have been many false starts that were even worse than not bothering.

Now, with very very large social groups and especially with high technology, it turns out Evolution itself had a bad idea. Sooner or later Caino hypocriens will wipe itself out. At best, it will get caught oscillating between a barbarous tribal environment it's well-adapted to, and suicidal black-government civilization. It turns out humanity is an entire species of natural slaves, and only a few mutants escape this fate. Most escapees become parasites, because most mutations are deleterious.

There is a solution, though it seems it's too late to implement it. As I keep mentioning, the Amish have already done it. Form your own society, and have it install a different superego. Re-run the socialization process from child to adult. You're not necessarily doomed to having a parasitic superego, but it's not something you can fix by yourself.

Sadly, it seems the afflicted are already too weakened by the pathogens to take even minor social risks. Sorry man, I said it too late.
Embarrassment considered worse than death, for the obvious reason that the parasites get to decide what is and isn't embarrassing, but don't get to decide who is and isn't dead.
