To have power is to own something you can't legally own.
If you control something you can legally own, it's called ownership. (Weird, I know, but bear with me.)
This is why, to think clearly, power has to be divided into kratia and dunamis. Kratia is when you can't legally control it. Dunamis is when you can legally control it. Kratia is exclusive power. It is about taking de facto ownership from someone else who is illegally trying to seize de facto ownership. Dunamis is stuff like math. No matter how much math you know, it doesn't stop me from knowing as much math as I care to know.
